Bout 50yrs ago my 60 year old very Italian Mom told any saying sad to be on meds " Shut up you don't know what you're talking bout be glad she has them to help!" I wouldn't react as angry at age 17 simply explained epilepsy to any to correct them. If had small seizure at bus stop while talking to others sat down waited till could speak told them was due to my epilepsy reactions "Wow that was a seizure?" thought all were much worse was why. Many seizures in public people tell me of their own or a loved one's it really is quite common.

It sounds like you've been able to turn your seizures into an educational experience for others. So a positive comes from a negative in this case.
