Does Anyone Else Have Problems With THUNDERSTORMS??
Every time there is a thunderstorm I end up having a seizure or two throughout the day. It starts off most of the time with me having an electricity feeling going through my body, that’s my warning to go lay down and just relax for the day. Today was just not that option. Thunderstorm moved in quickly. I didn’t get electrically charged and my head went numb quick tingling all over my body and then I was out. I have no idea what kind of seizure I had. I don't have a problem like that but I see it possibly doing that. I say that because if something is a sudden surprise to you it can cause a seizure. Such as a shocking surprise party or a sudden scare can do so from a boost of body energy in the brain. It doesn't do it all the time or may never happen to someone. I would ask the doc. if I was you.👍
I am more prone to auras when the weather is weird. Hurricanes and tropical storms sometimes bother me, too. We live in Southwest Virginia. Those types of systems still affect our weather. I am fairly well controlled now, but I am more likely to have an aura when the weather is weird. If I notice one, I sometimes take a little extra medicine. My husband and I call it a "booster shot". Triggers vary for all of us. The important thing is that we understand them as clearly as possible and do whatever we can to protect ourselves.
And TinaG, sure hope you recover quickly. Let us know how you are feeling. Bless you🌺
No, that's weird. I love thunderstorms I always sit out under my porch. But I've notice when nice out and high temps and humidity, I feel lousy.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , you are probably sensitive to certain sound frequencies and it triggers your seizures. You’re experiencing a non basic seizure trigger.
When I get overly excited from having a good time and fun , my Seizures get triggered.
