Do You Experience Dehydration With Your Meds, I Do. I Know That It's A Side Effect Possibly But I Live In Colorado And It's A Dry Climate?
I'm not sure if it a combo of both of them together, I have been out here since April 1988 and didn't really notice it, but say the past few years I have, not much of a issue per se, but have noticed it, does your meds cause that? What do you think about this β I'm ok with that I get hydration during the night during the day, curious about this β
I drink my water during the day. I have had to. It has been extreme hot living in the South.
Some medications have given me Cotton Mouth ( dry mouth ) . I would have to drink some water or something, to remoisten my mouth.
I do have to have water several times - but I think it is for another reason. My partial makes my mouth dry, which I do not like.
Dave, this is a common effect to taking lots of medication and not only anti-seizure meds. Sometimes, I just sleep with a bottle of water on a bedside table, etc. and when I wake up thirsty a mouthful is enough to solve the problem.
I keep track b/c diabetes also runs in my family so I make sure to keep track of whether I am getting thirsty too much vs just dry mouth!
If you find that you are waking up wanting to actually drink drink drink several times a night, then it might be time to check it out with your doc.
Dave, I had dehydration in Colorado too but because of the medication I still have it here in Texas.
A Neutral One, Having Our Conditions And Such Etc, And The Side Effects Of The Meds We Take That Do Cause Some, Do You Think Your The Same?
