I find that I am more likely to have auras when the weather is weird. We live in Virginia. When there is a Hurricane system coming up the coast or stormy weather in our area, I do worry. I sometimes take a little extra Lamictal, and I don't drive. Sometimes stormy weather makes me nervous.

Most talk bout the weather + seizures is just speculation. The AL post bout this says some think this but still unknown. The post cited here is over 8 years old + an opinion as well. In my 52yr of seizures I've never attributed changes in weathers to any. As said talk to Dr bout this-will have more updated info as well.

Yes, some people with epilepsy report weather changes like storms, high humidity, or rapid temperature fluctuations as possible seizure triggers. However, the exact relationship between weather and seizures is still being studied. If you experience more seizures during certain weather conditions, try keeping a seizure diary to track any patterns. This information can help you and your doctor determine if weather is a reliable trigger for you personally.
