I’m actually in the process of trying to get disability now. I’ve already gone through the questions they asked over the phone.

That is social security income right?! Isn’t Social Security Disability income different?
They are two separate programs

I wasn’t denied I was already receiving disability when my husband at the time got a good paying job. I could’ve lost my disability because of the money he made. I went into the social security office asked what could be done? I had to have 10% of my check taken out for federal so I could keep my disability. It also depends on the state you live in.

The giving Social Security benefits, Medicare, and Medicaid are federal. But some rules can have differences going state by state. Such as social may increase 2% in one state 2.5% in another just like taxes in each state. If you can show a letter from your doc. that you have epilepsy I don't see how they're able to turn you down no matter how much your spouse makes. I say that because how do they know if you would split up, hope never happens. That would leave you with no income.I know I have a friend in TN who makes good money and that doesn't have effect on his SS. Same thing with a friend that did live in NC now lives in PA his wife income has no effect on his SS income in either state. l WISH YOU THE BEST OF SUCCESS!

Years ago I could only afford Health Insurance with a $5,000 Deductible. Fortunately my Breast Cancer was not found then, or my leg broken due to a car accident.
