I Might Of Asked This Before But Has Anyone That’s Epileptic Considered Of Having A Handicap Window Tag Or Plates For There Car?
I’m thinking about requesting it for mine.
Epileptics should not be on road be of the WHAT BIG IF FACTOR. You never now when one will happen and and YOU will hurt yourself and OTHERS. ericthom3
I am fortunate to be able to drive, but will not get a handicapped placard...and this is just my feeling on it, since I can walk the extra distance, I will leave the handicapped spaces for those more in need than me. Even when I could not drive for a couple of years when my seizures were uncontrolled, I still did not use the placard. I feel the handicapped spaces are more for people on crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs that need the extra room to get in and out of their cars, and a shorter distance to go if using a cane. A friend suggested I get the placard but I don't see a reason to as I am capable of walking. If I can't walk the further distance, I have no business even being out that day.
I have drop seizures! That is the basic reason but I love walking and hiking! They said less bruising! I have designs of art on my body! My husband says let’s park farther from the stores to get exercise! I see people taking the handicap spots that don’t need it. I use them when I have had a rough sz day and cannot walk to far!
Never been allowed to get my licence cause of the epilepsy you have to be two years free of a seizure in Australia to get one, haven't been since I was 10, but I walk alot helps keep me fit and saves me alot of money.
I have a friend who is handicapped who I drive around. They gave me a handicap placard to use when I take them places, but I won't use it. I think if Epilepsy is a handicap for me driving, I shouldn't be driving. I don't have problems walking. Someone who really needs a handicapped parking spot may need it more anyway!
Everyone I Greatly Appreciate Everyone’s Opinions On My Question About The Handicap Parking Window Tag And Plates.
