Recovering from seizures at work can be challenging when dealing with dizziness and headaches afterwards. A few suggestions that may help:
- Take short breaks to rest when needed. Even just 5-10 minutes of sitting quietly with eyes closed can help relieve symptoms.
- Stay hydrated and eat small, frequent snacks to keep blood sugar stable.
- Apply a cold compress or ice pack to help relieve headache pain.
- Ask if you can dim lights or screens to accommodate light sensitivity. Letting managers and coworkers know what to expect after a seizure can help them understand what you need to recover. Provide information on postictal symptoms like fatigue, headaches, confusion etc. so they know it's part of the seizure recovery process. Ask them to allow you to take brief rests as needed.

You are doing nothing wrong. Your employer on the other hand is being a horse’s backside. You take care and reach out if you need anything. I am going to add you to my team if that is okay with you.

Yes it makes me feel so bad.i keep missing so many days but my job will not accept my accomodation request so today I just had to keep working I made so many mistakes while talking to customers and had blurry vision. It does take time to recover 😞 thank you for sharing with me. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong that it lasted so long

I have tonic-clonic seizures too and when I have a seizure my recovery time is about 24-36 hours after the seizure. I have the dizziness and headaches, but they go on for at least a day. I would not be able to go back to work any time soon.
