Do You Guys Have Any Good Ideas For A Job

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
TEXAS, TX

I want to get a job.I just don't know where to start.Cause I'm a introvert and I'm not very good with talking to people and I'm also afraid to work at a fast food place because of my seizures. So I was thinking maybe like an overnight shift for a store like stocking the shelves or maybe a cashier. I'm not really good at math, but I'm trying to figure something out. Because I believe I needed to be more active and get out the house. So I guess I'm asking for advice

Start by looking for a job that is not stressful.

I probably wouldn't stress that much if your not that good with math if you want to go for cashier jobs. For that you only need to scan the product, and the register does the rest. Math helps but you don't need it as much these days to be a cashier.

Overnight restocking sounds like a good idea for a job. My son works at a grocery store and says the overnight restocking is pretty chill. I worked as a veterinary assistant.

Finding the right job that accommodates epilepsy can be challenging. Based on what you shared, overnight stocking shelves could be a good option since it allows you to avoid busy daytime crowds and customer interactions. Overnight cashier positions may also work well. The key is finding an employer that is understanding of your condition and can make any necessary accommodations. When applying for jobs, being upfront about your epilepsy with the hiring manager can help ensure the position and work environment will suit your needs. You may also consider roles in retail, food service or other industries that allow sitting while working. The most important thing is finding something you feel comfortable with and that provides the schedule flexibility you require.

I just know as long as I ain't near something that requires me to be really high up like construction work or something in saw mill or something then I'm fine to work there says my epileptic doctor. I'm mainly applying for jobs where your unloading and restocking supplies for restaurants or fast food places to help get me the pay I need to get by and eventually save up to do better side jobs as video editing that requires no experience but i need newer tech so.
