If your generally well controlled, then they shouldn't be as bad as the meds are also made to make brake through seizures less bad than what they would be if you were not on meds. Normally if you do had a bad one there is normally a event that happens like a missed dosage, sleep issues, stress ect. Or there may also be also be a issue with the meds like I had.

Breakthrough Seizures occurs, when you were seizure free for so many months of the yr. , for example and from out of nowhere you are hit with a seizure, for whatever the reason is.

That's a good question so I was diagnosed with these last year but my neurologist didn't say anything about it when I saw her in October

Regina,
Do you know what his Triggers are? They make a real difference. I went back to sleep this morning. My watch and cellphone keep track of my sleep. I got only 6 hours. I need to eat enough and well. There are other Triggers also.

Thank you all for your answers. He is on 500mg of keppra 2x a day. Id imagine he will have to go up on that in time. So far the side effects arent too bad so hoping we can stay on keppra
