Does Anybody Get Jerks Or Twitches Or Contractions Of Joints On Only ONE Side?

I have been getting them on the Right side, as go to sleep. Started couple months ago. Not every night. Maybe a side effect of XCopri, only bc the dose has been increased steadily to 350mg over 15 months. My doc increased the Lamotrigine when I told her about it a month ago. Thought it was all gone, but last night it happened again. Plz respond, as I don't know anyone who has onesided symptoms and it makes me feel like a freak. Thank you.

My eye muscles jerk around making it hard to see. Doctors have told me that medication was the reason, especially Lyrica.

It's understandable to feel concerned about one-sided jerking or twitching. However, some people with epilepsy do experience symptoms on just one side of their body. Focal seizures originating in one area of the brain can cause jerking limited to an arm, leg, or one side of the face. Increasing the dose of medications like XCopri or Lamotrigine could potentially contribute to side effects like twitching. It's wise to let your doctor know about any new or worsening symptoms. Together you can evaluate whether adjustment of medications may help.
