With vertigo, everything turns upside down, in an instant. Usually fall down, or grab on to something. It's over quick, then you are dizzy.

Vertigo and dizziness are the same thing. As for myself I go through absence seizure where I will black out briefly for a minute or less than a minute then will come to once again.

2 kinds of Vertigo. Peripheral caused by the ears, and Central cause by the brain and medications. You should always get your ears ruled out because you can develop ear infections and buildup from medication. I have Vertigo issues from my medication. I did get my ears and eyes checked. My medications have caused Lazy Eye which causes Vertigo and doubled vision sometimes. I feel like my eyes are crossed, the room spins, and like I am tilted almost to the floor.

*So there is ataxia gait, which is where you feel like the room is spinning, and you are tilted or swaying. You probably have to look down, and hold on to something to walk. It might make you nauseas, or give you a headache or migraine. Also it can make you super tired. Then you can end up with the muscle above your eye or eyes twitching. Many of us think it's just a side effect of the Epilepsy, but it can also be a symptom of slight or severe vertigo over a long period. Slurred speech and a hard time swallowing are symptoms of Central Vertigo. Weakness, facial paralysis, and really a lot of things similar to Auras can be symptoms. Thats really why getting your ears checked to rule out half the source of Vertigo is so important. Your ears or your brain. It would extra suck if you assumed it was just your brain because of an existing condition, and you could have gotten rid of it with some ear care.
