Has anyone else with partial seizure's been swimming or is frightened to go even if it's with someone else who can swim?

Yes I have been swimming but only with friends and never on my own. They know what to do and I also let the lifeguards knows before I get into the water so they know.
I suffer with both grand mal and absence seizures and have had absence seizure in the pool. Scared the hell out of me but I'm not going to let epilepsy win.

I have tonic clonic seizures and for years refuses to take my kids swimming but now I accept that I cant give up my life for seizures ...if my fear of dying is correct then I would have wasted the short time I had hiding from the inevitable but now I have no fear and take each day as it comes

I still swim but am scared to death to even consider swimming alone. I even have a jacuzzi bath tubtub and I'm afraid to go in unless somebody is home.

It is funny that seizure activity can decrease with physical activity, but can be so dangerous. I actually had on shoveling the snow yesterday.

As long as I have someone with me, mainly a family member then I feel safe enough.
