There is a really good online learning site: http://learn.epilepsy.org.uk/?from=main-nav?fro.... I used this at my work and ended up training the first aid team about what epilepsy is and what to do. I always tell people if I have a seizure do nothing except, move things away from me so I can't hurt myself and call an ambulance. The main thing to emphasize is to NOT put anything in your mouth. Epilepsy should not stop you from doing anything. I have chosen a couple of people that I trust as my carers if anything should happen. Do you have a couple of people that you are close to that are practical people that you can task with calling an ambulance if anything happens?

Is it your church choosing this for you or your parents? If it is the church pushing you away because they won't take the time to understand what is going maybe finding a better church would be a good choice. People, employers, schools and churches should not be able to hold this against you. If your parents are scared for you, maybe they need more time but I don't know the whole situation.
