People Understanding Epilepsy
How to tell something that You want to go to a church confrence but the problem is that you have epilepsy and there scared that you might go into a seizure. How to tell someone that your epilepsy is under controled and explaining to them what it is and the first aid of what to do when you have a seizure and if they still said no to you because of epilepsy what do you do?
There is a really good online learning site: http://learn.epilepsy.org.uk/?from=main-nav?fro.... I used this at my work and ended up training the first aid team about what epilepsy is and what to do. I always tell people if I have a seizure do nothing except, move things away from me so I can't hurt myself and call an ambulance. The main thing to emphasize is to NOT put anything in your mouth. Epilepsy should not stop you from doing anything. I have chosen a couple of people that I trust as my carers if anything should happen. Do you have a couple of people that you are close to that are practical people that you can task with calling an ambulance if anything happens?
Have you considered changes churches? Have they changed their minds?
I know.
The church is .
Is it your church choosing this for you or your parents? If it is the church pushing you away because they won't take the time to understand what is going maybe finding a better church would be a good choice. People, employers, schools and churches should not be able to hold this against you. If your parents are scared for you, maybe they need more time but I don't know the whole situation.
