Do Any Of You Married's Out There Have Issues With Spouses Not Being Understanding About What You're Going Through?
At times my husband is spot-on supportive; other times it's like he blames me for this whole diagnosis. He reminds me of the financial burden the doctors and medicines cause, he gets irritated when I can't do all that he wants me to do, he gets resentful over the times I need to rest, and he says I brought it on myself due to "lifestyle choices" like my diet. It is so frustrating. Can marraige survive epilepsy?
It sounds like there are some very fortunate loved people here. I have never found anyone who can cope with the overall burden of me not being able to contribute as much as they do. I have had several very serious relationships (engagements) however they leave because life gets "too hard".
My husband is supportive most of the time, but sometimes blames me for being sick. He sometimes thinks I brought this on to myself for being an anxious person and doing too much.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member WOW my heart skipped a beat reading about your marriage. How lucky you are <3
My wife has always been supportive of what I am going through and I try to be back as she is also ill and in desperate need of surgery so hopefully we will both find good health again soon but it does put a lot of pressure on.
Yes it can but at times it's hard. Do you have insurance for the meds
