I'm also a victim of Topamax taking my memory. Even after I started on another anti epileptic medicine I still have a hard time remembering things.

Yes my current neurologist has got the biggest respect for me. He listens to me properly, trying to figure out a solution to help me in life to stabilize me. He does regular checks and he is very good. I don't have any complaints. I was on 175mg Lamictin in the mornings and since I had double vision he reduced it with 25mg every second week until I'm currently on 50mg now with no double vision. Everything in life is touch and go since everyone's bodies differ with regards to medicine. So ask your specialist / neurologist first before you take away any pills

Yes, my daughter accidentally took 2 doses of her tygretol. An hour after that, she started vomiting and I called the Neurologist. They had my take her to the ER. They put a heart monitor on her and gave her medicine to stop the vomiting. She was 12.
Now she is 29 and she has been having these things, we call head jolts, for the last three years. She has been on Depakote ER only for 15 years. They have added meds and just recently upped her medicine. She started having a lot of head jolts and other things that mimicked seizures. We did an EEG and finally she had some of these during the EEG. The Dr. said there was no seizure activity on the EEG. So, the Dr. thinks that she has been on to much medicine. They lowered her meds and she is doing great so far. It has been about three weeks. I can't believe it effected her that way. We going the wrong way, we thought they were seizures. Crazy.

Many times! Depending on the combinations of meds, as well as the dose, certain medications in my system have caused other med levels to rise. With mine, I think the worst was the Lamictal and Dilantin combination!
