Has/Did/Does; Anyone Else Ever Faint Along-side Their Epilepsy Or Before Their Diagnosis?
From the age of 12 I would frequently Faint. I've been researching to see if there is a link with Epilepsy! There could be it seems!
When I had my first seizure it was initially diagnosed as fainting but that was before the doctors realised I had epilepsy. I think that's always their first diagnosis. I think it would be very difficult to distinguish fainting from a seizure once you have epilepsy.
Thankyou for taking the time to answer me☺ NO, I don't still Faint..(rarely) but did lots growing up from age of 12 through till around 30sh. Just wondered if there was a possible connection with my Seizures. I have Refractory Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. I get Complex Partial Seizures, Myoclonic Jerks, Absences and Tonic-Clonic. This site is great and so helpful to talk to people who understand. I finally feel that I have found somewhere I belong or I'm understood and that I'm not going totally gaga!😊
I'm not sure on when I was a kid as was never on meds or took to Dr for epilepsy so never really diagnosed until 3 or 4 years ago. I did have absence seizure and was found on floor of school toilet and told I was shaking but I could of fainted, I don't know.
I do always faint if I go for blood tests but that maybe because I hate needles or blood lol.
Hi = I had a number of fainting spells- going back 20 or 30 years to when i was 12- before being diagnosed with epilepsy. I think now they were all seizures although I really don't know.
when ever I have a seizure I pass out during it so I am not sure if that squalls for a
fainting spell
