Lacosomide
Does anyone else take this? Think you've had any benefits? I've taken it for a few years now along with lamotragine, i don't think the lacosomide benefits me in any way & want to come off that one - will mention it to the neurologist today.
I have been on it for about a year along with clonzepam and carbamazepine. I had been on Generic keppra for years and my doctor felt it was time for a change. I love it. No major side effects for me.
Keppa was not good for me give anger problem stopped it last year
My Lacosamide (I take it with lamotrigine and phenytoin) really helps me. Back before it was generic, it was SO expensive, my dr and I tried twice to get me off it and I couldn’t handle it! The seizures got bad, even keeping on the other two and trying to reduce it very slowly. So it’s a must-have for me. I have tonic/clonic seizures.
I say, take what works for you! (For instance, I’ve tried both Keppra and Topiramate, and I have horrible, unlivable side effects with them! But tons of people love them.)
I went on lacosamide (Vimpat) alongside Lamotrigine (Lamictal) and Levecitiracetam (Keppra). It had no significant effect on the frequency or intensity of my coplex partial seizures (I don't suffer from grand mal seizures) so I've been taken off it and am now taking Perampanal (Fycompa) along with the other two. The Perampanel has been the most helpful but it makes me dizzy.

I Just Started Vimpat And Was Wondering About The Pros And Cons Of The Medicine I'm Still Currently Coming Off Of Topiramate Right Now
