Effect Of Keppra On The Bad Cholesterol LDL Count.

I am on Keppra 1000 mg morning and evening. My LDL levels are high in spite of maintaining a healthy diet style. Does Keppra or other medication increases the cholesterol level?

Joy Most important is to think of of how well our seizures controlled by meds. When first knew of my epilepsy 50+ years ago was glad we finally knew bout epilepsy glad we had any. Now we have so many should be less worry bout. My bp is low, my cholesterol level is too, bone scans like younger, liver fine. Any bad sides that may in occur in each we'd know. All can relax not worry bout sides more.

This is quite interesting that you mentioned this before. One time back a long time ago I had an inflamed liver due to me taking an herbal supplement which was supposed to help aid in the central nervous system. I quit taking it as usual. I have had imbalanced triglycerides since my mid 20s and the doctors never figured out how to balance them out. Basically, I take 3 cholesterol prescribed medications and eat healthy but at times have a high LDL. I am thinking that this could possibly be from Keppra or Lacosamide on myself. I take a total of 3000 milligrams of Keppra a day and 300 milligrams of Lacosamide a day.

All are people diff but AEDs have little affect on body. Please think of how well seizures are controlled first not sides of meds Keppra is great may cause moods first month or so while helping to avoid nasty seizures but then mind adjusts feels better. Now relax give self to time to help seizures.
