Keep an eye on the ingredients of cough drops/throat lozenges. A lot of them have artificial sweeteners in them that can trigger seizures.

I encourage my daughter to drink warm teas like honey lemon green. She also likes cinnamon and orange warm tea. She gets medicine from her doctor as well. She also has autism so I do not give her cough drops because of alcohol and artificial sweetness which both can trigger seizures. Warm drinks help more than anything.

I go to my local chemist for cough meds etc as even year by year the advice changes or ingredients might have changed
