I used to take Dilantin, but got switched to Phenytoin. Is there a difference on these 2 meds that i dont know about?

I was on Dilantin, then the Dr. said i need to change you to Phenytoin. This is when i was younger when he told my mother (RIP) then i was put on Keppra and boy did that come out bad for me. I had hives all over my body and i itched liked crazy. When the time came like a week later i was having Cardio attack due to the medication she put me on. I was hospitalized for a whole week checking everything then i went into a seizure and could not talk.Just a whole lot of mess i tell you.

Most epilepsy medications have a bunch of other names & you can easily get confused. I'm allergic to Dilantin but never was on the other names. But I'm on three meds. now & there all mostly different names then what your told.
