There will always be risks even if you do not have epilepsy. Apparently there’s a 5% chance the child could have epilepsy but I was well-monitored with both children by epileptologists. I worked up until the day I had my daughter. Both my children are fine...just make sure you follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Good luck🙂
Yes but you will have to make an appointment with your specilist/neouroligist so they can reduce your medication that will help control your episodes and also wont harm your baby and youll have to make extra appointments with your specilist so he/she can aslo keep track through out your pregnance and also he/she will give you more information when it comes delivery. Hope this info gave a small bit insight
My neurologist will prepare me for my pregnancy told me even though not planning to till I have a stable job. She said not to because my medicine will affect the child and our health. But I think it depends on your medications and your health
It depends on how bad your seizures are & they meds. your on cause not all can be taken while pregnant. Best to speak with your neuro about it cause for me now I'm high risk if I get pregnant due to a medication & it is the only one I can take due to allergies. For me I've had children in the past but it was safe then & I have no risks of passing epilepsy to my children cause it's due to a sickness.
You'll probably bring it up with your doctor and he'll/She'll have a word with specialist
