Yes. It is actually kind of scary how many people know nothing about what a seizure is even though if you have a brain you can have a seizure.

I am puzzled that some doctors don't even understand the different types. I've had to explain to a few what partial complex seizures were, and what I felt with them. They were generally doctors that didn't have to deal with epilepsy, but still, I thought they would have at least known a tiny bit about it.

i have had seizures in public before several times . i have gotten a couple different reactions from strangers ,th look on their face of they didn't know what the hell was going on ,too they wanted to call an ambulance right off the bat . i am never alone so always deny the medics .
but people are very uneduated about epilepsy , they are more educated about cancer ,cause it is more well known

I hope you feel better soon. Depression sucks and a lot of people dont understand that either.

I feel quite overwhelmed and shocked maybe because I don’t get too many seizures. Following my operation I had hoped my epilepsy would be a thing of the past. It wasn’t to be although the number of fits I have is far less. I still feel shock when I have them and go into a period of denial before reconciling myself to the fact I have had a seizure. It is surprising how many different types of epilepsy there are. I hope you are feeling ok. Keep well.
