For Those Who Still Live With Their Parents, How Do They Treat You?
Basically, I feel like my parents treat me like I’m incredibly fragile. Obviously, I appreciate how much they care, but then, when I’m treated like I’m seconds away from a gran mal even after having a perfect day, or 1 small problem in the morning, it feels like way too much to deal with without getting really mad at them.
Robert as a parent of two kids with epilepsy and also having it I see things from both sides at least I think I can. It can be a frightening experience to go through watching your child having a seizure and know there’s nothing you can really do expect the obvious safety issues. All the fears that can go through your head, will they hurt them self, are they going to have any going conditions from the seizures just too name two possible outcomes. I also understand where your coming from you want to live your life to the full and experience everything you can. Just remember they are only concerned because they love and care for you. Next time you feel like you just want to explode from what you are going though. Remember that you are not alone dealing with this and how much harder it would be without the support of your parents. Try contacting some community groups that have experience with those who have disabilities, I know here in Australia we have sporting and social groups that organised trips to different places. Your parents may feel comfortable knowing that you will be with people who know how to deal with you if the need should arrive. I hope this is of some help. Keep strong.
Don’t take abuse of any kind and while you are doing what peanut said pray. I will be praying for you, pray for protection ,peace and that the police will believe you and help you. God is listening we need to lean an him ,he will open doors for you make a way to get your money maybe.just trust in him

You bet Robert! If you’re able to go more than one day in a row without a seizure you might point out that positive point to them. I’ll be sure to keep you in my prayers that your seizures can get under control. Thank you for adding me to your team & I’ve turned around & added you to mine. Hang in there.
