I am on keppra. (And other medications for migraines) im extremely regular. But im now 2 weeks late. I have some symptoms. (Nausea, fatigue, tender breast, slight cramping, hot flashes). I have a dr appt for thursday but everything is coming negative and im worried if i am, the medications will harm the baby.

Yes because is you don’t have medicine and are pregnant and you have seizures the baby would probably die because it would not get the oxygen it needs,my neurologist made me go to Cleveland clinic and they had to check out the medications according with my pregnancy, now my daughters are 32 and 25 one has a masters degree and the other has a business management degree.so being on the seizures medicine didn’t hurt them

I had a colleague who was on Keppra- she'd been told this was ' safest' medicine ( I was on Tegretol with 2 of mine , everything was fine & they were 10 of + ) As the saying goes ,speak to your neurologist ,Do you have specialist nurses - I know one of mine does a pregnancy clinic in Wales x

I was on Keppra and took HPT and when I was pregnant it did show that I was pregnant. I did wait til I was a month late on my time of the month to take the HPT. I was on a high dose of Keppra with both of my pregnancies. My boys were a little on the small size 6lb. But were perfectly healthy. My doctor said it was safer for my baby to be on seizure meds during pregnancy than to go off my meds and risk seizures.
