Hi Sue . Just wanted to reply back. At the beginning Fycompa make me tire when I should be awake. When I would wake up , I would go into the living room to watch tv. I would watching a show , the next thing , I find myself sleeping on the couch. Today I’m not so bad . I don’t fall back asleep in the middle of the day anymore. .

I have never experienced Any loose BM .

Wish you and your daughter a good day .

I take Fycompa. My Epileptologist told my wife and , I to keep and eye out, if I start getting paranoid or any for of negative behavior.

So far I haven’t noticed, nor my wife.

Ive been on it for about 18 months now and have had several negative side effects. It makes me quite dopey, has affected my moods ( i get aggressive and worsened depression) As well as a few other issues. I think its one of the worst epilepsy meds ive ever used

No, it doesn’t. Sometimes medications need to be taken with food. I know certain ones gave me stomachaches if I didn’t. Maybe since she’s younger it effects her more? Good question for her neurologist. Good luck.

Thank you for replying - it’s not me taking it it’s my daughter Gaby she has special needs - it knocked her for six at first making her v tired - she has settled on it now and it has improved her seizures a lot. But has had very loose bowels since being on it which has become v embarrassing for her and we are thinking of going back to the consultant. Can you let me know if this happens with you? I am very grateful for your comments. Thank you - Sue Maslen
