Who Have Taken Their Meds Twice When It Was Only Supposed To Be Once?

Palm Harbor, FL

I just took My Vimpat this afternoon twice and it was only supposed to be once. I had to lay down in bed the rest of afternoon...

There is also the fact that many of us on here are proficient in reading typo (or even if it was a spelling error that was not a typo), thus we can ignore them and still understand what the friend is saying in the posting. And if not, then you ask them for clarification (without need to criticize spelling, grammar, etc.). The key is that we are FRIENDS here. So even when I seem like I do not, I do respect the opinions and beliefs of all of my friends here.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member It is helpful to have a chart or list (whatever form you want) that tells you which times of the day that you take any pills. And you check off on it immediately after you take the pills at the time. It is a major aid if you have someone who can check this to make sure you are taking the pills at each of these times, thus helping you to avoid missing them.

Are the morning and evening cases broken down to the pills for each of the days of the week? Having them this way helps to reduce the chance that you will forget to take any. It is still hard to not make errors (or eyes and memory deceive you) and you take a double dosage, and there is still a chance of forgetting to take a dosage. However, if you do the above, then you will reduce the chance of this happening.

I consider myself lucky that my am and pm doses are the same. I know a lot of people with any health conditions can struggle with doubling or forgetting. My pill boxes are 31 days. So as long as I took one for today's date I am good. Vimpat does suck to take twice. i take 250mg twice a day. I would be sleeping for hours! Feel for ya!
