Hey! Medication is so tricky. I tried a lot of medications but the only one that worked for me was Vimpat, and it also had the least amount of side effects.

Epilepsy meds....what a can of worms...what works for one person might not for another..even with identical symptoms...and same medication.. i think i comes down to the individual..ive been on a certain med that has done nothing for me at all...then ive talked to ppl that suffered bad side effects from it ....it sucks that you have to keep trying different meds until we find one that works for you

There are many medications out there, but the chore for you and your doctor is finding the right combo of meds that is tolerable to you (fewer side effects) and control your seizures. And that will take time to find out. But if your neurologist will work with you and you have the right patience, you will achieve that.

Kepra was my first med, and it just made things really bad. Lamictal was my second and the best medication that worked (and still does work to this day). It's interesting how different medications work for different people, so don't give up!
