Twitching For Hours And Tey Are Not Sezures.

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I have twitching that goes on for hours. Instense deja vu for even longer afterward. I had epilepsy surgery 3 years ago and these new episodes started a year ago. Has anybody had similar experiences after surgery?

I used to get the auras (warnings) often!! I don't get them now after my brain Surgery! I was great for 15mts and they started back up 18yrs ago!! I denied it in the beginning and than cried like crazy!! Now I do better joking about them and getting myself to laugh about it!! Helps me relax a bit of them!! πŸ’šβœŒοΈπŸ’š

I had surgery many many years ago, I don't have what my neurologist calls 'breakthro' seizures but my epileptologist diagnosed me with sensory seizures. I still feel seizures now in my left arm hand leg and foot sometimes right side too, I swear my body is shaking but I'm looking right at my hand it's barely twitching my index finger. I'm still on meds since there's still seizure activity. Hope that helps

I have had seizures and taken medications ever since I was 10 years. Through all my school years I never had a problem. When I reached adulthood my eyes started twitching a lot and would continue for a few hours. I’ve told my doctors about it and they blame it on one of my medications which was Lyrica. I no longer take it and my eyes don’t twitch near as much. I have had several surgeries and it never really got worse afterwards.
