Elon Musk Is Concerned About People With Epilepsy

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Moscow, KS

I found an article about Elon Must developing technology which can help people like us and not only, but also those with vision/hearing problems control our conditions by installing brain implants
'The founder of Neuralink, Elon Musk, says the technology can restore limb functionality, loss of memory from Alzheimer’s, stop epilepsy attacks, fix speech impediments from strokes, and restore vision and hearing problems.'

If course my first idea was that it is so cool that they develop it, but… read more

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member thank you for your comment! I think that even if 1% of population in the future can be cured by this new technology this would mean progress but not enough for investors... yeah it’s a shame that it’s still under theoretical stage but good to know the scientists think of the people with mental and brain illnesses

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Elon Musk is a genius and has created some amazing technology, and it might one day be proven that the Neuralink is another of these in the future. And I am not alone in saying this, here is a link to an article from the US National Library of Medicine: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC80...

However, it is a design still in one of the stages of research from an article I read. And if you do a Google link, that it has not been approved for human use yet. However, if you would like to be a volunteer in the human phase of the research now that they have finished the animal phase, then you can check into it.

And I would like it to research to get to the stage where it is approved by the the USA government because I have severe brain damage to memory (memory recall portion in particular) in the hippocampus) besides mental illnesses.
