Kidney Damage From Keppra Or Briviact?
I was in the ED with severe pain in my mid back this week. The CT scan shows I have damage to one of my kidneys that wasn't there on the last scan. The only difference is I began taking Keppra, then switched to Briviact in the time frame between scans. Could be unrelated but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Thanks.
My daughter has a kidney disease and they added keppra to her daily anti seizure medicine until she had an allergic reaction to it. When they were looking at what medicines are okay to take with kidney disease to not damage the kidneys keppra was one that was fine to take so i would look into the other one causing kidney issues since keppra is fine to take. Aptiom is the medicine she is on now and it completely safe for the kidneys also.
