Recently My Seizures Changed, I Used To Get More Grand Mal Seizures

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Now I get more smaller seizures that for the most part I don't even know I'm having. Unless I bite my lip, tongue, fall down, or just walk off the edge of something instead of stepping down. These seizures are becoming more frequent, followed by a headache, dizziness, and loopy feeling, I don't have insurance anymore so I don't have meds anymore. Does anyone else get dizziness and feel loopy?

It could be because you are not on your medication or you are developing a new form of seizures all together I have had 6 different kinds of seizures growing up but now I have a new 7 kind of seizure and no other

It sounds like you’re experiencing Complex Partial Seizures. Those seizures , you’re unaware about your seizures. I have those seizures, too.my family and friends alert me, if they witness me having one. I could have them when by myself and not notice, majority of the time.

Like you , I only know that I seizured , if I fell , spilt my food or drink and sometimes, my blood pulse may speed up, as if I ran a marathon. Other times times my hands may tremor or shake.. badly.

You might want to talk with your DR. about it. Maybe he/she will schedule a EEG . It is possible, that you developed another injured area of the brain, causing different types of seizures, that you may not of had before.

I am in Texas and dhs told me i don't qualify for insurance, I did apply for disability, I am waiting for my appt in February. I don't have money to pay for medicine so I'm kinda screwed for now. I'm trying to keep stress at a minimum for now.
