@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , A few years ago I got dizzy or blurred vision & then I began crying for no reason at all. It was weird. At the time I was seeing my Family doctor for my seizure meds & he wondered if maybe my Trileptal could’ve had something to do with it & so he adjusted my dosage & I haven’t had another episode of crying for no reason since. Your friend in Texas, Becky

Hey Joan, I really feel for you because I have had the exact same thing. So many weird things go on and the most frustrating thing is I’m never able to explain it properly - 1 because it’s so difficult to explain and 2 because I can barely remember what I’m experiencing longer than a moment. Last night I was up until 4am crying for no reason at all, I felt as if I was just having every possible painful/fearful feeling happening from second to second. I have been having this happen a lot more frequently and I wish I could just capture the feeling with my words. I have constant experiences of not being able to speak, I have dreams about it repeatedly but I also think it happens in life as well although I genuinely can’t remember… I know it doesn’t change these things for either of us but it means a lot to me to just know that I’m not the only one. I send you all my love and support. This is so hard but we do have eachother x

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Trileptal is also known as Oxcarbazepene and can be prescribed for mood or behavior issues as well. I've been on it for a few years with Dilantin and things were all good for most of the time. The only side effect I ever noticed was a little drowsiness.
