That's one of the side effects of keppra.sleepiness is one of the side effects of all the seizure meds.when my Dr first put me on keppra and lamictal I could hardly function.all I was able to do was sleep.once the meds got in my system and my system got use to it the sleepiness went away.hopefully your sleepiness will lighten up and not be such a problem.I know it can be an aggrevation.don't stop taking the keppra though without talking to ur dr!

One of the reasons I dropped it was how tired it made me, but I’m basically allergic to it for other reasons. It helped my grandma a lot, but also made her exhausted. That’s just usually how neuro meds work

That’s generally what that medication does. I know that my new doctor told me that I no longer needed it because I now have a CPAP machine that helps you with your breathing and that can make you breathe better during your sleep and helps you go to sleep. Are you on any other medications for your seizures? Problems with sleeping can be sleep apnea and you may not even know you have it

Drowsiness is one of the side effects of the drug.
