Grand Mal Seizures

Does anyone remember what happened when they had a grand mal seizure? Do you remember waking up in a hospital/ambulance? If you were taken there.

Personally, I don't know what happened from the time I blacked out to the time I could start seeing and hearing again. Now the ability to talk takes longer so I often found myself in the back of an ambulance because I couldn't say no to the paramedics.

Very aggravating!

I laughed at myself so hard after coming out of seizure in an ambulance once. I said "OH LOOK WE ARE MAKING IT WITHOUT HITTING A RED LIGHT". Then it hit me where I was. Paramedic laughed so hard when I said "Well ain't you quite the idiot JoAnn?".

I remember waking up looking at the medics in the back of the ambulance. Then going out again.

When I have grand mal seizures I often either wake up in an ambulance or just about to be taken into one. I actually had one in my neurologist's office once, and when it was over I got an E-mail from her, telling me to get a new doctor! 😟

I remember when I had my first seizures, I remember waking up in the driveway at my girlfriend at the time with 6 fire men and 2 cops on top of me trying to hold me down, and I was fighting them, then I remembered waking up at the hospital and they had me strapped down, from the forehead on, then I remember hearing the wind when they were rushing me down the hallway...
