I’ve had epilepsy every since I was attacked and now have a traumatic brain injury. I now have seizures all of the time. I’m on 300 mg of seizure medication plus anxiety medication. With epilepsy you need to prepare yourself bc bc you’re going to have many different kinds of seizures. You are not going to have just one kind of seizure. There are people that have seizures meaning that they only have like 1 or 2 a day and then you have epilepsy meaning many different types of seizures a day!! I’m not exaggerating. I truly wish this was not the case but it is. Many factors cause you to have these seizures such as: anxiety, stress, loss of sleep, heat, potassium levels being too low, blood pressure being too high or too low, etc, etc, etc! It’s extremely frustrating. There are meds to help control it and there are very great neurologists out there to help you along with this group who can help answer your questions. I just joined this group recently! Sometimes you will experience auras before your seizures: smelling strange things or when you eat things it taste weird or you may feel nauseous….with some people it happens sometimes but not all the time. I feel kinda lucky when it does happen that way I know before hand something is fixing to happen. I also have a dog that alerts me before I have one. I’ve kinda learned the hard way with my seizures and I’m sure you will too. Good luck & God Bless.
