My memory has definitely been impacted by my epilepsy! Even after the seizures became controlled, my memory continued to decline and my ability to organize is getting worse. I’ve started using a platform called “Brain HQ” to try to train myself, while I still have something to work with! But I guess any neuro-psychological exercises would work.

Sorry I know how you feel. Long term and short term suck

My memory hit a brick wall when I started off with 100mg of Tegretol 30 years ago. Been tough ever since, no matter what med I’ve taken. It’s weird. I remember music from MTV in the ‘80s like it was yesterday. Any music since then I can remember I simply have to listen to it again and again. And again. Helps out being music, that’s for sure.
But it doesn’t matter if it’s music, sports, news, movies or…anything. If it happened in the ‘80s before I started with medication, I can remember it like it was yesterday. Ever since it’s been tough. In high school or college when studying for a test I was up til at least 3am. If it’s someone I met in elementary school I remember them like it was yesterday. If I met someone a few weeks ago it’s going to be tough. Or simply straight up impossible.

Everyday I call my Mom..sometimes I have trouble recalling what I want to talk about with her..I have trouble remembering what I did yesterday & so on..it's so frustrating!!

Yep, it can be very annoying especially when people bring up past memories that you two shared and you don't remember them. The disappointment on their face is heart breaking.
