Does Anyone Have Speech Problems?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Paso Robles, CA

I’m taking lamotrigine and Keppra and have been for a few years. I’ve started have issues with slurred speech and some stuttering. Sometimes I also have trouble thinking of the right word to say. Haven’t really had much seizure activity lately or talked to my doctor yet about this problem. Is anyone else having the same problem?

When I was a kid - part of my adulthood, I stuttered a lot.

Today I still stutter but not as bad

Yes. I had it a lot worse a few months ago when I was still on Tegretol because I could hardly talk. My main problems now are mainly remembering what I'm saying and I still have some speech problems.

I took Lamotrigine but not Keppra. I had an increase of my anxiety attacks and panic attacks on it. I am now down to an experimental drugs you can search for on EBay such as Mexidol.
