Does One Know The Source Of Their Trigger Type (anxiety, Bright Lights, Etc.) Which Results In Triggering The Seizure Itself?
It's stress, (whether it be lack of sleep anxiety (physical), financial, physical, emotional, psychological, bright flashing lights in my face irritate me, only once did it me , etc... all of these cause our BP to rise) which, at least for me is the stress which triggers me. I can normally handle a lot of stress as I give to God & he handles it for me.
But a while back, I guess around 2013 I ran into the juncture where
1) I was told I had 10 yrs to live in 2009,
2) I broke my neck in 2010
3) My brother was diagnosed w/ ALS in 2012
4) I was working 60-80 hrs a week as a IT consultant
5) My team was deploying software to 3 manufacturing plants simultaneously, something not previously done.
6) The primary project I was working on was coming to an end
7) My wife left me.
Needless to say, I had a lot of stress. I ended up having a really bad / long grand mal while deploying to the factories. The EMT came, I remember seeing my friend & the EMT, but I couldn't tell them anything.
When I came to, the EMT asked me what I thought caused the seizure, I replied "stress". To which she replied, I see your wearing a cross, do you believe in Jesus Christ? Of course I said yes, she replied do you have faith He'll take care of you? Yes again. To which she said, So! Why are you stressing. It was poetic, I never had an EMT deliver such a powerful message
No sleep, stress, and strobe lights. Those are my enemies, oh and assholes lmfao 🤣 😂 😆. Sorry I couldn't help myself.
One time I was at at stop light and then when it turned green I had a seizure and had an accident at the next corner but didn’t remember getting there. I was fine but the car was totaled
Been there, done that twice, Laurie. Thank God it was trees and no one else. Air bags really do work.
I've always known that mine were stress, the biggest one I have along with lack of sleep. also Going from hot to cold or vering temperatures, like walking in hot weather then walking into a cool air conditioned environment and if am doing to much at one time I have to cut my days like into blocks of work and rest time.
