What Are Those “after Seizure” Feelings You Get Besides Confusion?
I have this feeling that i hate getting after having a seizure. I become antisocial and just barely talk to my family because i just don’t feel “right” or myself. Definitely have anxiety and worry that these feelings i have will trigger another seizure becausee i am thinking too much. I just had a three month old baby and even her i dont feel that connection with. When i talk to others i feel weird like i don’t know them i dont know. I don’t know how to describe these feelings or know what to… read more
After a seizure: Fatigue, maybe being somehow uncoordinated, memory loss and difficulty remembering new things… I am hoping that the memories come back, too! I feel like it takes me time after a seizure to get back onto an “even keel,” as they say. It may take days, it all depends on how bad the seizure, and where in the brain it came from (and some other reasons that are too complicated for me to understand). I wish you all the best, and I hope it clears up as soon as possible!
Brain has to recharge I call it 🥴
Not having a clue that I seizured. When I was younger my seizures were more sever. When I had my strong seizures or clusters of seizures, they would exhaust me or just knock me out to where I sleep into the next day.
For me it depends on the location and or frequency of my seizures. On the more not so good days, I will forget the words of things that should be on the tip of the tongue. This issue can last for hours to days. On the better days, I won't have any real noticeable issues. I'm only keenly aware of this because after my second surgery, I've only had focal aware seizures (watching your seizures in real time and unable to control your speech or body isn't that fun).
In terms of feeling anti social or not my normal self, like people mentioned above, recharging is helpful. However, having had this for 27 years, recharging doesn't mean in your bed and trying to figure out and be frustrated about the seizure you just had. Easier said than done, but it's part of the accepting process of living with epilepsy.

I don’t have any pre-seizure symptoms.
