How To Deal?
How do you deal with the bad experiences you've had at the ER and doctors I'm finding it hard to deal with it lately and find myself getting quite angry at times .
I know at some point I do need to speak to counsellor about it because I feel these experiences have definitely traumatized me.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member The key for me was first finding a good therapist (even while still with a bad neurologist) and in recent years traveling to Boston in order to find a good neurologist and later a good psychiatry.
a good dr is hard to find. i lost count at 150 dr and that was when i was a teen. hang in there... it will get better. trust your gut feeling... if you don't like the dr anymore, get another option... and another one... tell the right dr comes alone.
Unfortunately David797 I didn’t , I did try to get it but I gave up cause I didn’t want more stress upon myself . But these days I’m much more aware , I also make sure I note everything on my phone calendar etc
Nada, I'm sorry for the late response. One may have to lower expectations. Once you get the infusion to stop the seizures there is not much they can do. Please call a therapist who will help you with this unmerciful condition.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I'm happy you're going that route. The hospitals usually will have a Clinical Quality department that grades the MD's & quality of patient care. I've never gone to a counselor regarding patient care issues, but a good friend lets me vent my life's frustrations at him no matter what they be & he with me.
