I seem to have different types of epilepsy? Is that possible or am I not remembering them accurately?

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , It’s possible to have more than one type of seizure. For example, when I began seeing my current Neurologist in November 2019, she had me do a 5 day in hospital video EEG & since my seizures aren’t as frequent or severe as some peoples, I didn’t have any while doing the EEG, however they said that while I slept the EEG showed mostly Focalized seizure activity but some Generalized seizure activity. I have complex partial seizures & nocturnal seizures where I have seizures in my sleep. I don’t have auras & so I don’t always know I’ve had a seizure unless I notice something is odd or someone witnesses it like my Mom or stepdad who I still live at home with. Growing up I had petit mal seizures, now known as absence seizures. Here is a link that might help describe the types of seizures for you: https://www.epilepsy.com/what-is-epilepsy/seizu... . If you mean like going from one line to a different area in the brain but not tonic clonic, then yes it’s possible.

Before my second surgery, I was having termporal lobe seizures. After the second surgery, I still have some small temporal lobe seizure but am having frontal lobe seizures.

However, my epilepsy isn’t common and apparently doesn’t happen to many people.
