Brisbane, AU

Now I should explain this,

So what happened was I transferred to a new GP so at the time of my last appointment my records were not completely at the new gp practice so I was going to these review appointments with the new gp about lots of other issues but the records still hadn’t transferred across. They do have a lot of information but the gp doesn’t have enough to make a call on it.

The other issue is my next appointment other than what I have with the GP is a phone appointment with an… read more

Always keep track of progress via email or papers of appointment . Then there is proof of what the doctors say.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Yeah, this is basically the pathway I would go down anyway in Aus. I have applied for a few Volunteer roles that are relevant to what I'm doing but I have to check whether I'm allowed to do that. If I can't I will see if I can get the current conditions changed.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member follow your dream. before the daycare thing... i had a job hunting comany (find me the right disability job). i went to the gorcery store, resturant chains, and movie rentails (yes i am that old). that is when i saw the daycare. i love peopleing and kids and the ssi money... so it was a perfect match.
it will sometimes be unexpected but i know you will find the 'perfect match'... be it IT, admin, or other stuff.

In PA, you do not need clearance. It’s up to the job, if they are willing to take that responsibility.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, it is possible that because you are changing to a new GP, your job will want a doctor's note from your current GP. And since doctor's examinations are different, your new GP will not want to use information from your previous doctor. I had almost the same issue after my ablation surgery. I needed 2 doctor's notes to come back to work. One from my doctor and the second one from the surgeon who performed the surgery. Then the business had to have their attorneys examine the letters to make sure they were legit. It took some time before i was able to go back to work. I hope you don't have to go through what i had to go through.
