I have been on Briviact for about two and a half years. It has made a world of difference for me in both seizures and my anxiety. (I think the last med I was on was contributing, and I didn’t realize). I know it’s newer and there is no generic, but does anyone know of other ways to get savings? Are you eligible for medicaid. If not. I would check if you were eligible for any other public assistance. I have humana at the moment & it covers it completely

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, Briviact is a controlled substance. And there are no savings on medications controlled by the government even if you have a pharmacy card, it does not apply to a controlled substance medication. I am not sure how old Briviact is but i have been taking it since 2019. It has worked for me along with an additional drug. Last time i checked 2021 and asked my pharmacist, there were no plans to create a generic version of Briviact. It is what it is.
