Is This A Seizure?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Alabama

My throat gets tight. Dizziness, followed by reduced vision. Head and neck gets weak, and droops forward. Stagger. Can stay on my feet, but feel very weak. Usually lean against counter or wall til it passes. Usually less than 15 to 20 seconds .. Feel "fuzzy headed" after with EXTREME fatigue. Had eeg last week but won't see neuro til next week. I'm scared.

From what I read , it sounds like you’re experiencing side effects from your medication. But you may also be experiencing some form of seizure when you zone out..

i have absent seizures and most of the time stay coheirent but other times zone out so i haven't driven in 17 yrs...anyhow, my seizures feel like a tingly buzz going through my body and i'm still able to work......when i zone out, i won't know i did until i come around from falling....now being on a higher dose of medication, they are MUST less and severe
