Life With Epilepsy

Are there many people with epilepsy who lead lives that are not really affected by epilepsy apart from the occasional seizure?

I feel this is a wide question, as who can say what is a normal life with or without epilepsy.
If you are meaning the generic day to day musings, i.e., work, travel, driving etc. Then by these standards I would say I have a normal life. But it is always in the back of my mind of what I need to look out for which breaks the normal life balance. For example, I have to enquire when going to clubs/bars/events for strobe lighting, ensuring I have enough sleep and that I have to forewarn employers of my epilepsy. These aren't "normal" by general standards, but are normal for me as an individual.

I don't have a prob with my life with the condition I have, I do have my seizures now and then, but I don't let them hold me back from life and what I do In my life, a inconvenience and such etc , but I don't quit because of my condition. No prob, and no way. My answer

I do only have the occasional seizure. They occur every 2-3 years, but I have had as much as 5 years between seizures. I have had tonic clonic seizures since 1981. I would consider my life not to be too affected by epilepsy. I don't drive that much, mostly because my husband is worried about me. There are some activities that I don't do because they would be too dangerous. I still worry about the next seizure and what it could bring.

I'm sure there are many that do and many that don' t. I believe it's the strength of the person with epilepsy is willing to put up to lead their own life. I know is possible. I know it's truly possible, not only from reading about it. but attempting show no fear of the changes it does have. Which may help and scare seizures away having no stress of it, follow rules but don't worry too much about some mistakes made nothing is perfect. Don't let past damage your thought of success, or fear the future has nothing but a miserable outcome. Let the present walk you step by step thru times of pleasure!!!.
