Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , Welcome! Our team member @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member can tell you his experience with the VNS & explain the system more to you but since it wasn’t helping him he got that out & an RNS & that’s reduced his seizures a little. Everyone can have different experiences with these systems but feel free to reach out to him. Your friend in Texas, Becky

I've had mine 4 years. It's not reduced seizure numbers but I don't get generalised seizures. I have however stopped the only trigger for them as well. I feel like a different person in a negative way.

I have had one for numerous years. I had on implanted the first year they were created, had the battery replaced. Then after the new model was introduced to the public I had that one implanted. The last thing I have introduced to is having something implanted on a person’s brain 🧠. Sorry for not remembering the name of this, the foundation will have the information. So that is the next thing a person can do. There is no telling what will be created in the future.

I have had mine for 3 years now and it has slowed things down. I also had scar tissue removed on my left side.
