Nightmares?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

IDK if it's the medicine everyday (Lamotrigine, Lamotrigine ER, Topamax, Clobazam) or WHAT, but I have nightmares almost every single night. If it's not a nightmare, it's just very vivid, strange, and "real". I always wake up in a slight panic. Does anyone else have this problem?

I take Tegretol and Clobazam. I have had crazy and wild dreams pretty often. Sometimes I wonder if these are nocturnal seizures.

I have wild, vivid dreams while on lacosamide and I had the same back when I was on depakote. Fortunately for me, they're not nightmares and I actually kinda enjoy them!

I'm on Lamotrogine , And yes I sware I have the craziest dreams ever. They feel so real, but when I wake up , couple hours later , I forgot what the dream was about . It's weird and different for me

Hi Kaiti, I'm taking other meds and noticing very vivid dreams. I can't say they are scary just really lucid. I'm no expert but can imagine meds can cause this to happen. I didn't have vivid dreams before I started on medication for epi's. 🤗 Di
