Auras and Epilepsy Read Article...

Yes, I didn’t even begin having seizures until I went through puberty. My doctor told me that it isn’t unusual to begin having seizures due to changes in your hormones at this time. Just like some people develop it early in life can grow out of it, some can grow into it ☹️

The answer to that is yes. I had heavy seizure warning during that time of the month,

Absolutely! I've had catamenial epilepsy for over 30years. I was 8 when my seizures started and we hoped they would "go away" or at least get better when I hit puberty... but they got even worse.
My seizures have "changed" when I've been on the "PILL" or an IUD.
My seizures have "changed" when my hormones were to high or low because I was emotional about different things going on in my life.
Key... stay happy... stay calm... try not to overdo it.
I know if I get "really mad". Where I start yelling because I'm ticked off! I let the person know to respect that moment!!! Because for me to yell like that at someone... I know I'll probably have a seizure later. They need to know what I had to say was worth me seizing!

One thing I don't do is expect to have a seizure ,if I have one I look at the date and take it from there, cause I know when the 28 day time is, by not expecting one it helps me relax and cope more.

Over 30 years ago I had a hysterectomy which is when my seizures started getting worse and my partner started beating me up cause I had them, + every 4 weeks I get 5 days of more seizures ever since, I don't dwell on the past cause it doesn't help you feel any better, Take care.
