Do I Have Epilepsy Or PNES? I'm In Limbo!

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Oregon City, OR

My first episode happened on Christmas morning, 2 days in ICU. Sent home next day had another one that ended up having a mild heart attack.
Put me on Keppra, double the Keppra, then added Lamictal. I'm still on 25mg and have not gone past 36 hours without an episode. By the time I get in for the portable EEG with Video in March, I will be on 150 MG 2 x's a day of Lamictal. Will they be able to diagnose if I have Epilepsy or PNES?
Thanks

They did but with no contrast. I had to go on a ventilator for about an hour or two until they could control my Tachycardia it happened twice.

Have they done a MRI or a CAT scan ? Just wondering if it was a mini stroke rather than a heart attack?🤔

My doctor had me stay the weekend at hospital to get my diagnosis because no one would believe me except my boyfriend who slept next to me every night.
I was diagnosed with NOCTURNAL EPILEPSY.
