Others Health Issues
I know I am a cranky old cow, but do you hate listening to others complain endlessly about an ingrown toenail, a pulled hammy, a cold, etc? I think you are so lucky that is all you are dealing with.
The way I see it, everyone has their own problems that they deal with and so do we. If we constantly think 'our problems are bigger than yours', then we're no different from them. Plus, depending on one's epilepsy, we're way better off than those with worse medical conditions such as cancer or others that I cant quite think of. So, to each their own and we'll be there to help them just like they would be for us.
I don't think your anything, other then a person who hears others complain, and you have your own issues that no one knows about. And as a person who has been through brain surgery, they have no room to complain about an ingrown toenail. But I've realized when someone complains about anything, it's usually no one is giving them the time to vent. We brain warriors have empathy for others, but often compare what we've been through, to them, and an ingrown toenail doesn't rank to where we are. Sounds like they need a friend to listen. Just listen. And then talk about, yes I get it, it's like when they took the staples out of my head!
And perhaps our own struggles and complaints should be diminished as we realize what life for the people of Gaza or Ukraine or Sudan compares right now.
